Dehydration - It's A Silent Killer

Dehydration is one of the biggest problems that the majority of people have and they don't even know it. When we deplete our body of water, our organs can't function properly, causing a myriad of diseases and often times the root cause isn't ever found and so very simple to fix.

The body is made up of three quarters water. Every organ in the human body requires water. When we drink water it goes straight to the stomach and part of it gets absorbed directly into the blood stream. It's important because it flushes out what doesn't belong in the body. Every cell in our body depends on water. We can't grow or replenish new healthy cells without enough water and we need to have healthy cells, to combat any and all illness that tries to attack our body. (1)

How Much Water Is Really Needed?

We all need to drink half of our body weight in ounces every single day. This is the minimum requirement. If you consume caffeine or salty foods, more water is needed. If you are out in hot weather, more water will be needed too. Getting a gallon of water in, is even better. It will flush out the toxins, hydrate you and even help you to lose weight.


What Should Your Urine Look Like?

The photo attached shows the various colors of urine and what color it needs to be. Urine needs to be very light yellow and always be clear. This is the sign that you're drinking enough water. Urine should not have any type of acidic odor. If it does, this is another sign that you're not drinking quite enough water yet.
