Going Beyond the Surface... Where True Wellness Begins
Flu & Colds
You can get your body stronger and healthier and keep Covid away. Everyday you need to support your body and keep it strong and healthy. It's time to get your body in check and get your shields up to protect yourself from this very dreaded #illness. The #flu, a cold, or #Covid can strike without any notice and throw you down quickly and into bed for usually 3-10 days. But, we all have the opportunity to help keep it at bay or not even get it at all. Here's what you can do right now naturally, to help keep your body strong, so you don't have to take on this next battle or help you alleviate it more quickly.
Take vitamin C and at least a minimum of 1000 mg per day. This is the minimum amount your body needs daily, to help fight off colds and flu's. Vitamin C is water soluble. Your body will use what it needs and then the rest gets flushed out with your urine. If you're already sick then take at least 3,000 mg of vitamin C daily.
The U.S. National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health state, "The Recommended Dietary Allowance of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) for adults has now been set at 45 mg day(-1) by the U.S. Food and Nutrition Board. This intake suffices to prevent scurvy in most people. It is, however, much less than the optimum intake, the intake that leads to the best of health. A larger intake decreases the incidence and severity of the common cold and other diseases. Ascorbic acid has antiviral and antibacterial activity and is required for phagocytic activity of leukocytes. Several arguments indicate that for different human beings the optimum intake lies between 250 mg day(-1) and a much higher value, 5000 mg day(-1) or more. It is proposed that the present Recommended Dietary Allowance of 45 mg day(-1) of vitamin C for adults be renamed the Minimum Dietary Allowance, defined as the amount needed to prevent scurvy, and that, after consideration of the evidence about intake and the best of health, there be formulated another category of values, the Recommended Daily Intake, with the suggested range of 250 mg day(-1) to 4000 mg day(-1) of ascorbic acid for an adult." Some of the best sources of vitamin C come from food. Your body doesn't make vitamin C, but it needs it to function optimally, so we are required to get it from a food source or vitamin supplement. Food sources of vitamin C are the best way to receive it, because a whole lot of supplements on the store shelves are synthetically produced.
It is also extremely important to eat properly during flu season. Stay away from sweets. Sugary foods will weaken the immune system instantly and when the immune system is weak your body doesn't have any fighting chance to keep colds and flu away. Keep your body warm with hot soups, broths and herbal teas when already sick.
Exercise is another key way to keep your immune system strong. Exercise at least 30 minutes per day, five to six days per week, and you'll find that you can get through the flu season better.
Sleep. This is the most important time of the entire year to insure you're getting adequate sleep. If you're run down, it will weaken your immune system even more. Adults need at least 7-9 hours and children need 9+ hours of good solid sleep. If you're getting any less, your immune system will more than likely not be strong enough to fight the flu or any other illness. Get your sleep. Go to bed early.
Drink at least half of your body weight in ounces of plain filtered water each day. This helps flush out toxins that you may be holding onto inside of your body.
Oregano oil if used correctly can make a big impact when you're not feeling your best. Make sure you only use oregano capsules and take it with a meal. Oregano oil is anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. It can kick out the flu and it can help kick out any respiratory issues you may be having too.
And if you're struggling with respiratory issues, try putting about 10 drops of oregano oil in boiling water and inhale the steam, hold it in your lungs for as long as you can. Just be careful not to burn your self and also keep in mind that when you inhale the steam it can be hot going into your throat or up your nose. But, if you feel it's not too intense, then keep doing it, since it can kill a virus or bad bacteria quickly. :
Another great idea is drinking my Pure Wellness Brew on a daily basis, but especially when you're not feeling well. Here's a link to the video:
It is advised that before taking any flu shot that you do your homework and read the inserts that come with each vile and educate yourself about what toxic ingredients you'll be putting into your body and their possible side effects. You are responsible for your own health and maybe even the health of your family members.
My mission is to educate people to learn and understand how to fight illness of any kind. The simple answer is be focused on your body and how you care for it and focus on what you feed it too. And do it all in advance, so you give your body a stronger chance of not getting it at all. It will make all the difference in the world.
