Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome (AFS) is becoming quite the norm for more and more people these days, but most people don't yet fully understand this or even know what it really is. Is it dangerous? It can be if you don't slow yourself down. It can eventually start causing other illnesses within the body, so when you recognize #AFS, start getting rest and watch your stress levels.
AFS can strike when you're constantly feeling stressed, living life from day to day with very poor sleep and from a lack of good nutrition. The #adrenals are a gland right above each kidney. The adrenal gland is the most abused gland in the body because when the body is in a constant state of stress or staying in a state of alert or fear, the adrenals will constantly be working on overload. (1) They are being taxed out to their maximum, causing your adrenals to burn themselves out.
"In Chinese medicine the kidney/adrenal glands are the source of all Chi, universal energy. Standard, allopathic doctors do not usually diagnose adrenal stress and burn out." (2)
If you require coffee or caffeinated drinks, alcohol, marijuana, or anti-anxiety medications, then this may definitely be a sign that it's time to take care of yourself better. "Adrenal Fatigue sufferers often have a difficult time dealing with physical or emotional stress." (3)

Try reducing any emotional issues you may be going through such as fear, stress, anger and worry. Getting adequate sleep each night is extremely important and will help reduce the symptoms of fatigue tremendously.
